Outdoor advertising and campaign support in Brighton

The Bike Ads can arrange Brighton activity for retail promotion, local awareness, events and production briefs. Options include ad bikes, human billboards, promotional staff and digital ad vans, with wider outdoor placements available through the appropriate media owners and partners.

Our Brighton examples show two different purposes: a retail message for Spring and support for a Food Unwrapped filming activity. The format needs to serve the particular job, rather than treating every outdoor appearance as the same type of campaign.

Spring: a used-tech message in the city

Our Brighton work for Spring used ad bikes to carry a message about giving unwanted technology another life. We shared photographs of the activity in November 2022.

The retail proposition provided a clear subject for the creative. For a new campaign, decide which action follows the message: finding a location, checking a service or visiting an information page. Make that destination easy to understand and consistent with the advertiser’s current offer.

Food Unwrapped: supporting a filming activity

On Brighton Beach, ad bikes were used to draw attention to a public photograph-comparison exercise for Food Unwrapped filming. This was a production-related use of the equipment, with a display supporting a specific activity involving the public.

Read the Food Unwrapped project. A filming brief needs to explain what the bike will do, when it is needed and whether the production requires equipment only or an operating team. It should also identify who manages participants and the filming location.

Plan the setting as carefully as the message

Tell us whether the campaign concerns streets, a retail destination, an event or a seafront location. Provide the proposed positions, dates and operating windows, and distinguish your preferred locations from those that are essential.

Access, crowd conditions, weather and suitable stopping positions need to be considered for the actual setup. A past beach photograph does not establish permission for a new activation or vehicle to operate there.

For a digital ad van, include the road route and any desired stationary position. For staff activity, specify the interaction, materials and approved message. For ad bikes, explain the area and timings rather than just asking for a circuit of Brighton.

Equipment hire or an operated campaign?

A production team that can operate its own equipment has different needs from an advertiser booking a managed street campaign. Compare the delivery options, including print, transport and return responsibilities.

The proposal should set out the format, people, hours, materials, logistics and agreed reporting. If you need photography or video for your own content, specify that deliverable; proof photographs and a commissioned production shoot are different requirements.

Discuss a Brighton campaign or filming brief. Send the location, date, intended activity and the role you need the equipment or team to play.
