Outdoor advertising and street campaigns in London

Plan a London campaign around the places and times that matter to your audience. The Bike Ads can arrange ad bikes, human billboards, promotional staff, digital ad vans and wider outdoor placements, with the operating team or media inventory matched to the brief.

London should be briefed as a set of locations, rather than one broad area. A neighbourhood information campaign, a club opening and Underground advertising require different choices about message, timing and delivery.

Local experience with different purposes

Our Southwark activity included an ad bike supporting Covid and flu vaccination awareness in February 2023. This was a community-information use of the format, with the campaign message directing attention towards a public-health topic.

In Islington, a March 2019 campaign used an advertising trike. Our education history also includes a two-trike London School of Business and Finance brief in central London in January 2017. These examples show different formats being selected for local work.

For gym promotion, the PureGym Colindale example features creative announcing an 8 June opening, photographed on 1 June 2017. Colindale is a specific local campaign context; it should have its own route and message rather than being treated as a generic central-London brief.

Choose between operating a campaign and hiring equipment

Our London history also includes DIY equipment hire for UCL. That differs from commissioning a campaign with an operating team. Tell us which arrangement you need and what resources your own team has available.

Compare managed campaigns, DIY hire and buying. Equipment compatibility, print, transport, staffing and reporting should be clear before booking.

Brief detailWhy it matters
Boroughs, postcodes and priority positionsIdentifies the actual area to cover and any site-specific arrangements
Dates and operating windowsSeparates a short event moment from activity spread across several days
Desired actionGuides the artwork, staff brief and response destination
Format and tasksDistinguishes moving display, distribution, conversation and fixed media
Approval and on-day contactGives the team a clear route for decisions and changes
Details to agree in your brief

For mobile activity, agree the route and suitable stopping positions. Private venues, station areas and pedestrian locations need individual consideration. A campaign booking does not grant universal access.

For a longer-running or network-based message, we can discuss billboards, digital screens, bus advertising or London Underground placements. Those bookings depend on the available inventory and media-owner terms.

What will the quote and report include?

The quote should identify the area, dates, equipment or placements, hours, people, creative, logistics and agreed reporting. Check the package’s stated London zone rather than assuming a central-London rate applies to every location. See ad bike packages.

Delivery evidence may include operating records, photographs or placement confirmation, depending on the format. Agree response measurement separately if you want to assess enquiries or bookings.

Send your London locations and dates. Include the purpose of the campaign and any positions or times that are essential.
